Overview
The brief
Lumen’s hardware was excellent and its app was a spreadsheet of switches. People bought the lamps and then stopped opening the app. The team asked us to make it something you would want to touch at night.
What we made
We replaced rooms and sliders with scenes you choose by feel, each shown as a field of soft light rather than an icon. The interface dims along with the house. A system of forty components now covers the app, the website and the inserts in the box.
