The brief

The owners kept the long school corridors and their tiled floors, and wanted guests to notice them. The identity had to work on a key card and on a wall twenty metres long.

What we made

We drew a wayfinding system from the building’s original room numbers and painted it at floor level, so guests read the hotel as they walk through it. At night the light from the doors does the rest. The same numerals carry through to the menus, key cards and website.
